As a preferred supplier, I am absolutely delighted that I get to style some of the most beautiful and elegant weddings at Holbrook Manor, Wincanton. It really is one of my favourite venues in the area. Read on to see why…
Probably my favourite thing about the venue is the decor. I have a serious soft spot for clean, white spaces which really allow couples to put their own stamp on their day, without being restricted by busy colours or patterns. The main event is typically held in the Garden Room, unless of course you opt for an outside wedding which looks just as fabulous, providing you have the weather for it! The Garden Room features whitewashed walls, adorned with glamorously chic mirrors and crystal cut chandeliers, giving a truly grand feel.
The windows add to the light and airy feel of the room, giving the most breathtaking views of the extensive gardens. There are so many beautiful features which I love to dress, including stunning mantle pieces and majestic pillars. The room is super functional, with segmented doors which can be used throughout the day to section off parts of the room to enable the preparations to go ahead behind the scenes. If you’re having a more intimate wedding, then this serves as the perfect solution to ensure that your guests aren’t swallowed up in too big a space. For those of you having a larger wedding, the Garden Room can seat up to 150 guests and is perfect for dancing!
As well as the Garden Room, you can also tie the knot outside in the beautiful gardens under the charming summer house. The trailing foliage covering the house looks stunning, particularly in the summer and autumn months. A summer house wedding is perfect for those of you who are looking for a more intimate and rustic backdrop to say I Do. That being said, up to 150 guests can be seated outside to witness your exchange of vows and the patio makes for the most scenic of drinks reception for your summer wedding.
There are so many other beautiful rooms to mention, but I really cannot emphasise enough how stunning the bedrooms are. The venue now boasts the most stunning dressing room, furnished with some of the most gorgeous pieces. It really is the perfect place to spend the morning of your wedding, getting reading with your bridesmaids and popping open the champagne!
As a preferred supplier at Holbrook, you’ll often see me at their many wedding fairs across the year. Obviously with the current COVID-19 pandemic, Holbrook has shut its doors in line with government guidance. However, Holbrook is still very much open and there are members of staff at hand to answer any queries you may have until their doors can be reopened again!
